Disney Trip!!!!!

We just got back from Disney World, and I wanted to blog about it while all the memories are still fresh! We had the best time, it's so true about experiencing the magic through your child's eyes, it's the best!
We started our trip with lunch at Chef Mickey's. I went here when I was their age, so it was so special. Chloe got to meet her beloved Minnie Mouse.
We checked out our resort next, especially the awesome Finding Nemo pool.
The next day was a full one, spent in the Magic Kingdom.
We had lunch at Be Our Guest, besides having to wait for our reservation, we loved it. It really is just like the movie.
Of course we had to do It's a Small World!
We got to meet lots of characters, eat yummy treats and I got to share the Country Bears Jamboree with the kids. It's a classic and it was so fun to see them enjoying the exact same show I once did too.
I was hoping the kids would make it to Wishes, but with small children you never know. Well we made it, even Luke enjoyed it. Perfect way to end the best day ever.
The next day was more low key, I knew Luke would def need a nap after Magic Kingdom. So we headed to Disney Springs and then lunch at Wilderness Lodge.
That afternoon Clarke took Chloe to the pool while Luke got to nap. Then we headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner at Boma. Got to see the animals first!
Our last day was the Mary Poppins breakfast at the Grand Floridian.
Luke absolutely loved meeting Alice. It was the only character that he really smiled at. It was so cute.
When we were getting ready to hop on the monorail we ran into Sleeping Beauty!! Chloe had wanted to meet her, and we just happened to be in the right place, right time. It was very special.
We took a quick stop at The Polynesian for some Dole Whip!

Then we headed south to my dad's condo for a few days with family. I was so thankful to be able to do this. It was our first family vacation as a family of four. And now I can't wait to go back!!!

2016 Wrap Up!

Happy New Year! 2016 ended on a good note, celebrating Christmas and my birthday.
I fixed up my dollhouse from when I was a little girl, and gave it to Chloe. We both love playing with it!
My birthday was the next day, we had fun going to lunch with family and then I went to Cinnebistro with friends later that night. We saw Passengers, I enjoyed it especially since I wasn't sure what to really expect.
I'm not gonna lie, the highlight was running into John and Sherry from young house love They are my favorite bloggers and when I saw them I was beyond excited. I got a picture, it was pretty amazing, and such a fun surprise for my birthday.
I also got to hang up the new chandelier in the dinning room, I love it. Goodbye ceiling fan!
With wrapping up 2016 I am really looking forward to what 2017 has in store. It was a good year, but started off really hard. A year ago we were still living at my mom's, waiting to close on our house in North Carolina, and waiting for Luke to come.  I'm so glad he is here now, he finally has a nursery in our own home and we have settled in.

So here's to 2017!

cheers to sears

A little over a week ago my little brother got married! It was such a beautiful day, we all enjoyed celebrating the newlyweds.
Family started coming into town on Friday. The rehearsal dinner was so nice, Hardshell Downtown, and my little helpers did a great job helping us set up before!

One of the best parts was having my grandpa there. He had multiple strokes almost two months ago, it really was a miracle that he could be there.
Chloe was the flower girl, she really is a pro now!
The reception was at the John Marshall, it was a beautiful venue. They had the cutest first dance I've ever seen. Leave it to my brother to make up a fun choreographed dance!
Beyond thankful they got to meet!
It was such a fun night, but definitely went by too quick. I'm beyond excited to officially have another sister in law now!

Point Pleasant Beach

Last week we were at the Jersey Shore. One of Clarke's cousins got married, Chloe got to be the flower girl, and we all enjoyed celebrating at the beach.
Luke looked quite adorable in his little bow tie! Both did great at the wedding, we ended up staying later than we anticipated because Chloe was having so much fun dancing the night away.
The best family picture we could get!
This was Luke's first time leaving the state of Virginia. He did okay on the road trip. Being in the car seat really isn't his thing, the last few hours were rough, but we made it. I remember when Chloe was in this stage, thankful he will outgrow it!
Once again Chloe loved the beach! Luke enjoyed it too.
We celebrated the 4th there, and this was Chloe's first time seeing fireworks. She loved it!
One day we went to the Boardwalk, tried the famous Kohr's ice-cream and did some rides.
They also had a small aquarium there that we visited. Chloe's favorite part was the penguins.
Overall we had a great trip! I was relieved that Luke slept well in the pack n play. Makes me want to plan more travels!!
