ONE

Oh baby Luke! How are you already one?! One year ago you came into our lives and completed our family. You have always been such a happy baby boy. You smile and laugh all the time. You love trying to keep up with your sister, I know soon you will be able to! You are very active. You love getting into everything and are full of wonder. The garbage can and fake plants are your favorites right now. You only really cry when you have ear infections or are teething. Your sweet cheeks and smile brighten my day.

In just a short year you have become such an important part of our family. If you aren't in the car riding with us somewhere Chloe will say how it's just too quiet without you. You have opened places in my heart that I didn't know existed and brought me so much joy.

I love you sweet boy. I can't wait to see who you become in this next year, but I love who you are already. Happy First Birthday!!

Chloe's Birthday

We celebrated Chloe's birthday with a party at All Fired Up. She loved painting and eating cupcakes.

On her actual birthday she got a donut for breakfast! She opened her presents from us, and I brought cookies into her class and read a book. She got to do all her favorite things that day, including choir at church. She specifically requested to go, which I loved.

I think she had a great birthday!!

Happy Birthday Chloe Mae

IHappy 4th Birthday sweet girl!! Where has the time gone? You are all big girl now! You definitely keep us on our toes, but I can't imagine our life without you.
This year I have loved watching you become a big sister. You are so loving and nurturing to your baby brother. You love feeding him, bringing him a toy, and trying to teach him new things. You just helped him learn how to crawl. I can't wait to see all the new things you will teach him.
You love school, gymnastics, singing loudly, playing with your friends and little brother and being my big helper. You also love minnie mouse, the disney princesses, everything pink and the princess palace pets.

You are so loved by us, and I can't imagine my life without you. Happy Birthday Chloe Mae!

April Catch Up

Where has this month gone? Thought I'd do a quick catch up post as we approach May.

Earlier this month Clarke went to the daddy breakfast at Chloe's school. Her teacher sent me this adorable picture.

The house we are buying in 2 weeks (eekk!) got a brand new roof, super exciting I know, but really it's a huge answered prayer.

I've been bringing the kids over to our new neighborhood to walk around the lake or play on the playground since it's been so nice out. I can't wait to add the pool to the mix!

Saturday we decided to go to the Richmond zoo since it's one of the last free Saturdays we have before we close on the house. Chloe loved seeing all the animals, of course she said the chickens were her favorite.
The merry go round was also a favorite!

Sunday we went to a friend's birthday party, with horse rides. I was so proud of Chloe wanting to get on the big horse and ride.

Then today Chloe had her first gymnastics class!!
I was totally that mom standing there taking a ton of pictures, but it made me so happy to see her doing gymnastics! She was adorable, and I loved watching her try new things. She said she wanted to go back, and that she liked it!

2 weeks till we close on the house!!

Chloe Turns 3!

Yesterday my baby turned 3! I know she isn't a baby anymore, but it seems like she was just the other day. We had the best time celebrating.
The day before her party she helped me make cupcakes. She did a great job actually mixing and putting the batter into the baking cups. The day before her real birthday was her party. We started out the day giving her our gift. I repainted an old cabinet for her fridge to match her kitchen.
There was pizza inside too, since it's one of her favorite foods we figured her kitchen needed one. Then it was time to get ready for her party. Chloe wanted to help get things ready, she was so excited this year. Of course the theme had to be minnie mouse.
Chloe had been talking for weeks about blowing out her candle on her cupcake. Oh, and I'm wearing the ears because Chloe didn't want to, I figured someone should!
I loved watching her open presents this year, she was really into it, saying "what's next?" She got a bike from her grandparents, and she couldn't wait to try it outside.
This was by far my favorite party for her. She was into everything, and so excited about it. Seeing all my closest friends and family come celebrate meant so much to me.
Monday was her actual birthday, or as Chloe said "It's my birthday again!" Her teacher said I could bring in popsicles and read a book to her class. I loved going into her classroom and reading. We went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch after school, her favorite.
Today she keeps saying it's my birthday, and I have to tell her the harsh truth that it's over. But we went to the doctor for her well check up and I was so proud of her, she didn't cry at all for the finger prick or flu shot. I can't believe I have a 3 year old who is going to be a big sister!!
