Mothers Day 2017

We had a fun mother's day last Sunday. Clarke grilled out for us and we took a nice walk around the lake.
I got a new lens for my camera, which I have been absolutely loving! Hence the reason for the walk.

I think we are going to need more wall space in our house if I keep taking so many pictures......

so much to celebrate!

Luke got to celebrate his first St. Patrick's day and Easter recently.
We dyed our Easter eggs before, Chloe loved it. I actually got good pictures of the two of them, on both holidays, which is so rare.
We had fun opening up Easter baskets before church.
That weekend one of my best friends got married. We had the best time celebrating, Chloe got to be the flower girl too, she did a great job.
 Emily was a beautiful bride!!!!
It was such a beautiful wedding, so happy we got to be apart of it.

Luke's First Week: Photo Dump

Thought I would post some pictures from Luke's first week. So far he is a very happy baby! We had some trouble with figuring out the whole nursing thing, almost didn't get to leave the hospital because he lost 10% of his birthweight. But, once he figure it out he is quite the good eater now!
Big sister Chloe loves to snuggle!
He also experienced his first blizzard. I brought him out for a few minutes to get some pictures. Overall he wasn't too impressed, ha!
On a side note, big sister Chloe loved the snow.
Of course he rocked his first monogram!
And he got his first bath, which he was not a fan of.
So far, for a newborn, he is a good sleeper. The past couple nights he's been giving me 2, four hour stretches in between night feedings. I'm hoping he will continue to sleep well.

It's amazing how much can change in just one week. We are so in love and we really feel like this sweet baby boy completes our family, it's such a great feeling.

Charlotte

Yesterday we headed down to Charlotte for the day. It's a little over an hour drive, and the only time we've ever been is to Ikea and the airport, so it was time to change that.
We started with lunch at a place a friend recommended, Pike's Soda Shop. It was really good. Then it was off to the park, Chloe's favorite part, as always.
We found King of Pops, which was perfect for a sunny day. I got the raspberry lime and Clarke got the blueberry lemon. Chloe ended up eating most though. They were delicious!
We had other things planned, but ended up heading home after strolling around uptown a bit. With no nap and a late night (thanks to our community group cookout) the night before Chloe was done. We definitely want to go back, lots more restaurants to try out!

RVA

After celebrating Easter and our anniversary Clarke headed back to Winston and me and Chloe stayed in Richmond at my mom's house. It was so nice to see lots of family and friends. Lots of running dates, dinners and lunches in my favorite spots.
The only day I really took pictures was Friday when we went to the Children's Museum with Lori and Ellie. Chloe had the best time.
Saturday we went to the Race to Parenthood 5k. It was such a wonderful morning, supporting people who really want to be parents. They raised over $7,000 for their embryo adoption. I was so honored to apart of such a special event.
Later that day we checked out a park near my mom's. Chloe loved seeing the boats on the water.
The next day we headed back to Winston. I'm always thankful that we can spend time with family and friends in Richmond.

March Photo Dump

So many sweet pictures of Chloe from the past few days....
Clarke's parents were here on St. Patrick's day, and it's also his dad's birthday, so we went to lunch at Village Tavern to celebrate.
We ended the day with some bubbles.
This is the best picture I could get of her and new "pack pack." A friend at church has a similar one and she absolutely loves it, so I got her one of her own. I've stopped carrying my diaper bag and now she carries her diapers, wipes, etc in her bag, such a big girl!!
We've been having lunch on the patio, and it's been so nice.
Yesterday I ran for the first time since Florida on my favorite greenway. I registered for 10k training which starts in April, so I gotta get back to it!
