Halloween Weekend 2016

Friday was farm fun day at Chloe's school. We had fun seeing the animals and getting to sit in the tractor.
Captain America and Cinderella had a fun Halloween weekend. Clarke wanted Luke to be Captain America, and Chloe had her heart set on being Cinderella, but of course it had to be the pink dress, the one that the birds and mice made for her.
Our neighborhood had a little fall festival with face painting, cupcakes and a bouncy house. Then last night we went trick or treating. Chloe was so excited this year, first time she couldn't wait to go.

The weather wasn't too cold this year which was nice. Today Chloe keeps asking me what each piece of candy is. Chocolate? Now we are getting ready for her party and birthday. How is she going to be 4?

October Updates

Fall is officially here! Here's what we've been up to:
Luke has been eating more and more "finger foods." He's loving it!
Chloe has been back into the routine of school, it's been good for everyone.
Luke is more interested in standing and pulling up than learning to crawl.
Chloe is still doing gymnastics. I love seeing her skills progress, after much practice she finally can do her forward roll all by herself!
He's sleeping like a champ at night! Most nights 12 hours straight.
Me and Chloe went up to Harrisonburg to celebrate Zoe's first birthday.
Luke was dedicated at church. One thing I especially loved about it was we picked out a life verse for him. We chose Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the  Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
We went to the pumpkin patch last Sunday. This was by far my favorite one we've been to. It felt like you were on a real farm, and the sugar shack donuts didn't disappoint!
Well that was a long post! Happy Fall!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had the best long weekend celebrating Thanksgiving, and we even got an offer on our house!! Of course we weren't expecting it, but we are beyond thrilled. After almost 6 months on the market, it's been a long road here. We close ten days before my scheduled c-section, so we are relieved to be done with it before baby comes. It's such an answered prayer!

So back to Thanksgiving...
We were so thankful that we didn't have to travel this year! Especially with me being so pregnant and a 3 year old. Everyone came over to my mom's house and we ate a lot of good food.

The day after we followed our tradition of getting our Christmas tree.
Today we are going to decorate, and make my favorite Christmas cookies after church. I love the holidays, and this year Chloe really understands everything so it's so much more fun!!

Halloween 2015

Thought I'd post some pictures of trick or treating last night!
This was the best I could get. She totally wasn't into getting her picture taken. But I think she was the cutest princess Sophia!
We did some pumpkin carving the night before. Chloe was all about the Jack o Lantern.
She loved pulling all the seeds out and couldn't wait to put the candle inside.

Hope everyone else had a happy halloween!

October Updates

October is flying by! Can't believe it's almost Halloween and then November. Chloe is so excited for trick or treating and Thanksgiving. She keeps talking about the big turkey we are going to eat! The holidays are going to be so much fun with her this year.
We had fun at the Pumpkin festival this past weekend. My future sister in law invited us and Chloe had the best time seeing everything and of course enjoying the food.
We've been trying to enjoy the beautiful fall weather with some park trips before it gets too cold.
Chloe is absolutely loving school. I knew she wouldn't have any trouble since she has always done well at the Y and church, but she really loves it. On Saturday mornings she'll ask to go, and the other day I had trouble getting her in the car after because she didn't want to leave! She runs into her classroom every morning. This is her class on show and tell day, of course she picked her baby doll to bring in.
I love hearing all the fun things she is learning, especially the songs. Preschool is the best thing we've done in a long time. I'm not gonna lie, I love the "free time" for me too!!

So bring on November, can't wait!

pumpkin patch 2015

This past Saturday we headed out to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins for our front porch. We've gone every year, but this year was the best, as Chloe could really get into it and tried to find the perfect one. We took a hayride out to the patch first.
And of course a hayride back! Can't believe next year we will have a 9 month old with us!

Apple Picking!

This past Sunday we headed up to Carter's Mountain to go apple picking. This used to be one of my favorite fall things to do but the last few years I've been extremely pregnant or too far away with living in NC, that it just didn't happen.  So happy we got to go this year.
Of course we ate first. Their apple cider donuts are amazing, brought a bunch back too! Then it was off to the hayride before picking some apples.
I think one of Chloe's favorite parts was eating the apples, lol.
Snapped a quick shot of my almost 25 week baby bump before leaving. Such a fun afternoon on a beautiful day!
