14 week baby update!

Im hoping to do pregnancy updates like last time. Even made a new sticker, so here we go....

How Far Along: 14 weeks! On to second trimester!!

Size of Baby: Baby is the size of a lemon, about 3.4 inches.

Weight Gain: According to my doctor only 2 pounds, but it feels like more. I think it's cause I'm bloated and it's all in the front.

Maternity Clothes: I'll confess, I started wearing maternity clothes at 7 weeks with this pregnancy! My shorts didn't fit and I already had maternity clothes. Most regular tops still fit though.

Gender: I'm thinking boy. My symptoms have been so different than with Chloe, I would be surprised if it was a girl.

Movement: Too early, but looking forward to it.

Sleep: Fine for most part. I already can't sleep on my stomach anymore so that's hard, but adjusting to side sleeping.

Symptoms: Headaches. For the past 3 or 4 weeks I've been struggling with bad headaches. I'm thinking I need to eat more protein, or drink more water, or it's the heat. I got sick once, but that's it. I've been having nausea in the mornings, but after about an hour of waking up it goes away. Overall. it's been a lot better than with Chloe.

Food Cravings: Nothing really. I've been more hungry, but that's all.

What I Miss: Wine! I never thought I would say that, but I started drinking some before I got pregnant and there are some nights I would really like a glass.

What I’m Looking Forward To: Our maternity photos! It's a few months aways, but I booked them this week and I'm excited for the photoshoot with our whole family.

Best Moment This Week: Celebrating my friend Rebecca's upcoming baby at her shower. Nothing to do with my pregnancy, but it's so fun to see lifelong friends become mommies. Our babies will be about 3 months apart.
Of course the last two days I was actually wearing make up and looked cute I totally forgot to get a picture. Then as soon as we were going outside this evening it started to rain. So this is it for 14 weeks. First real baby bump picture, and I didn't want to not get one. I'm growing fast!

Baby Update!!

So today I'm 13 weeks pregnant! Officially done with the first trimester!! I really want to update this blog, like I did while I was pregnant with Chloe. I have loved going back and reading all the details about that special time and I always thought I would remember, but the reality is, if it wasn't for this blog I wouldn't.

This pregnancy by far has been better than with Chloe. I've gotten some bad headaches, and sick once, and I'm so tired, but no constant nausea. With Chloe I remember feeling sick all the time, and I lost so much weight. With this one, I'm just tired, probably from keeping up with a very active toddler. I'm thinking its a boy because it's been so different, but ya never know!

I decided to write a separate post about how we found out, trying for this one, etc. It was in every way different than with Chloe and I'm still mulling over it all.

All I can say is God's timing is absolutely perfect. Our lives are so different than they were 2 months ago, and I wouldn't change a thing. So look for lots more posts about baby #2!!

Summer Updates

1. Chloe has loved going to the pool. This year she is big enough to really swim and play. Of course she isn't swimming on her own, but she loves to kick and practice. The baby pool is her favorite, with all her water toys.

2. Our house is still on the market. It's been a month, and we've had some interest but no solid offers. So right now we are staying at my mom's. We are just trusting that God will provide the right buyers and thankful for a free place to stay in the meantime.

3. One thing we are excited about in moving back to Richmond is babysitters for more date nights. A few weeks ago we went to The Savory Grain for our first date night in rva. It was delicious!

Hard to believe we are half way through July already. Here's to more summer in Richmond!

4th of July in Pa

We just got back from a family reunion in western Pennsylvania. It was fun to see family back where my grandfather grew up. Most of his family still lives there, and with out of town guests there were over 100 people there.
We stayed in a hotel on the way up and Chloe loved watching tv in the big beds and swimming in the pool.
Chloe's favorite part was all the fields out in the country. Plenty of open spaces to run, play, and ride the tractor and a bike. Also lots of bunnies and chipmunks to chase.
Chloe loved playing with her cousins, this is the best picture I could get of them on the tractor, Chloe couldn't get enough.
Sadly, I didn't get any pictures at the actual reunion. I ended up getting a massive headache and the heat really got to me. Chloe did great though. I'm glad we got to see so many family members, and Chloe got to go to another new state!
