Myrtle Beach

I got back from the beach early this afternoon. It was a great week spending time with family soaking in the sun.

They had the cutest beach houses there. Reminded me of Charleston, and I loved all the palm trees.
We were so lucky our house had a pool. I spent lots of time here!
Here I am 20 weeks, 3 days at the beach. You can really see my baby bump now!

I didn't take that many pictures, but we also saw fireworks one night and went shopping (as I mentioned earlier). I wanna take a picture of the closet in the nursery, all the cute pink hangers with some cute little dresses. My aunt and cousins bought our baby cute clothes since they can't come to my baby shower this fall.

It was great catching up with family I hadn't seen in awhile, and of course the beach is always great!!

Checking In

I'm still down in Myrtle Beach with the family, and having a fabulous time. We've had some great beach days and some not so great beach days (but that's just an excuse to shop.....haha!) In all honesty I did have fun at the outlets picking out some cute baby girl clothes. We've walked down to the pier and soaked in the sun most days. I have 2 more days left, and ready for some more beach!

20 Weeks

How Far Along: 20 Weeks tomorrow, half way there!!

Size of Baby: Baby is the size of a Banana.

Weight Gain: 3.5 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Wearing some maternity clothes, but they are still a little big. My regular pants are too tight, but still wearing them with the belly band. Really sundresses are my favorite thing to wear right now.

Gender: IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!! :)

Movement: Feeling movement a lot more. It's still surreal.

Sleep: Happy to say I'm still sleeping good.

Symptoms: I've been cramping a lot this week, I guess baby is growing!

Food Cravings: Okay, I'll admit it. I was driving home and passed the Krispy Kreme and totally went through the drive through to get fresh hot donuts. They were so good too!

Food Aversions: Nothing really turns me off right now.

What I Miss: Fitting into my regular clothes. See above.

What I’m Looking Forward To: I leave today to go to Myrtle Beach for a week with my family. They have great outlets there, and I can't wait to shop for our baby GIRL! :)

Best Moment This Week: Finding out that our baby is a girl and she is healthy! Seeing her on the ultrasound was so great, and sharing the news with family and friends was even better!

It's A.............

I had my 20 week doctor's appointment this morning. I am soooo happy to say the doctor said everything looks great and the baby is healthy! They took so many pictures and measurements of the baby, then they finally told us.........

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!

We are so excited!!! I went shopping a little bit today and got some cute little girl stuff, it's so great knowing now! We had lunch with our parents at Brio to tell them the wonderful news, it was great.
It's been such a perfect day, sharing the news with family and friends. And now I can finally start planning the nursery!!! (We are going to paint it pink!!!)

We both feel so blessed to be this little girl's parents. Can't wait to meet her in November!

Father's Day and Sailabration 2012

I must say this is my first attempt at writing a post from my iPhone, so we'll see how that goes!

This past weekend I went up to Baltimore to celebrate father's day with my dad. It was also the 200th anniversary of the war of 1812, so they had a "Sailabration". There were ships from all around the world in the harbor, we even got to tour some of them. They also had an air show with the Navy's Blue Angels.

It was such a beautiful day!! The harbor was so crowded, but we def. enjoyed seeing everything!
This was on a ship from Columbia, looking up.
More details of the ship.
View from the harbor. It really was a pretty day.
This is a view from my dad's place. He lives on the 27th floor, so we could see everything!
We also watched the airshow, by theNavy Blue Angels from my dad's place. This was the best picture I could get, but the show was really good!

I had a great weekend celebrating Father's day and the "Sailabration".

endings and new beginnings

I can't believe the school year is over! Today was such a bittersweet day. I am sooo excited about summer and this new season of becoming a mother, I can't wait! But I am really going to miss Echo Lake next year.

I've felt so loved by all my coworkers this week. They threw me a baby shower last Wednesday, it was so sweet!
Baby's first gifts!!

It's made me realize how lucky I have been to work at such a great school. I feel so blessed for these past 2 years. I can't wait to be a mom, but I am so grateful for everything and everyone at Echo Lake!

Currently Loving

I am currently loving.........

Breyers neapolitan ice cream with fresh strawberries. Yum.

Netflix. Clarke and I might be on the verge of obsession with Lost. We both never saw it while it was on TV and we are hooked. (Don't tell me what happens, we are only on season 2!)

My new iPhone. For the longest time I didn't want a smartphone, then I found all these cool baby apps. My favorite being the one that hooks up with a baby monitor and you can see your baby right there on the phone. Betty is a fan of the cat apps that  make noises specifically for cats......lol.

The last week of school. It's bittersweet, I can't believe the school year is almost over. I am so ready for summer, but will def. miss being at Echo Lake next year.

17 Weeks

How Far Along:
I am 17 weeks today.

Size of Baby:
Baby White is the size of an onion.

Weight Gain:
Happy to say I have gained 1 lb! Never thought I would say that.

Maternity Clothes:
Still too big for me, but def. getting closer.

Gender:
Less than 3 weeks till we find out.

Movement:
There have been times when I thought I felt the baby move, but nothing that I am sure of.

Sleep:
Sleeping so much better now. I am used to sleeping on my side and getting up to go to the bathroom. I am trying to enjoy it while I can.

Symptoms:
Glad to report no new symptoms! My appetite is a little better, and my ankle is also doing better. Praise God!

Food Cravings:
Nothing out of the ordinary. I hadn't drank a coke in over a week and I had one today, and it was soooo good!

Food Aversions:
Nothing turns me off. Just if I eat too much I get a little nauseous.

What I Miss:
MTT (marathon training team) started this weekend. It made me sad not to be there, and seeing everything on facebook about it. This baby is soooo worth it, and I know in November when I give birth instead of running the marathon I won't care anymore, just hafta keep reminding myself that.

What I’m Looking Forward To:
Finding out if it's a boy or girl!

Best Moment This Week:
I had such a great weekend, seeing so many friends at different church events and a birthday party. Just sharing about my pregnancy and enjoying the nice weather was great.

Tea Party

Today was the annual tea at my church, it's one of my favorite events of the year. I posted about last year's tea here.

For the past 3 years I've been a table hostess, I come up with a design and decorate a table as well as brew the tea. Here is my creation this year:
This year's theme was the beach. Here are some details, I really loved how it turned out!
I used my grandma's china this year. I have always wanted to borrow this from my mom, but was afraid I would accidentally break something. I got so many compliments on it, and nothing broke. So glad I finally used it.
The teas we drink are so good. I don't normally drink tea (except sweet tea) but the tea they get for this event is so good, I love it.

Wish I had snapped more pictures once the event actually started, but I was so busy I totally forgot this year! My mom, sister in law and friends came and we had such a great time. Can't wait for next year!
