July 4th Weekend

We had a fun 4 day weekend for the 4th. Clarke got that Monday off in-between so we took advantage of having daddy home and went peach picking in Crozet. For the actual 4th we went to our neighborhood pool party. Food trucks and lots of swimming!
Peach cider donuts just might have been a highlight for us! So good!
I managed to snap these photos before we went to the pool. Hope y'all had a good 4th of July as well!!!

16 months

Luke, how are you 16 months already?
You got tubes put in your ears a few weeks ago. I hope they help with all the ear infections!
You are such a happy boy, still easy going too. You love music, your blue blanket, applesauce pouches, eating anything, your big sister, running, getting into the trash can, playing with cars, balls and animals. Seriously, you love the neighbors cats and dogs! Being outside is your favorite, you will bring me your shoes all.the.time. wanting to go out.
You are a big boy! At your 15 month wellness check up you were 95th percentile for height, 33inches tall, and 90th for weight, 27 pounds. You still got those adorable chunky cheeks.
We love you so much baby Luke, yes we still call you that.
You are saying all kinds of new words! Your favorite is uh-oh when you drop something, most of the time on purpose. You definitely let me know when you are unhappy about something now.
We love you so much sweet boy!! Happy 16 months!

2016 Wrap Up!

Happy New Year! 2016 ended on a good note, celebrating Christmas and my birthday.
I fixed up my dollhouse from when I was a little girl, and gave it to Chloe. We both love playing with it!
My birthday was the next day, we had fun going to lunch with family and then I went to Cinnebistro with friends later that night. We saw Passengers, I enjoyed it especially since I wasn't sure what to really expect.
I'm not gonna lie, the highlight was running into John and Sherry from young house love They are my favorite bloggers and when I saw them I was beyond excited. I got a picture, it was pretty amazing, and such a fun surprise for my birthday.
I also got to hang up the new chandelier in the dinning room, I love it. Goodbye ceiling fan!
With wrapping up 2016 I am really looking forward to what 2017 has in store. It was a good year, but started off really hard. A year ago we were still living at my mom's, waiting to close on our house in North Carolina, and waiting for Luke to come.  I'm so glad he is here now, he finally has a nursery in our own home and we have settled in.

So here's to 2017!

Lights, Singing and Nutcrackers!

Thought I would post some fun holiday memories!
We went to our favorite tacky light house, Chloe had her first Starbucks experience, hot chocolate, which of course she loved. We all loved the lights!
Chloe had 2 Christmas concerts. One for school, and one for choir at church. I couldn't get over how cute the little choir robes are for her church concert. She did great at both, I'll admit I got a little teary eyed at both, something about her singing songs telling the story of Jesus' birth!
This past Saturday we went to see the Nutcracker. Chloe was mesmerized by the dancers. She sat there the whole time and just watched, of course we had some snacks but I loved watching her watch it. Now she really can't wait to try ballet!

Only a few more days until Christmas!

cheers to sears

A little over a week ago my little brother got married! It was such a beautiful day, we all enjoyed celebrating the newlyweds.
Family started coming into town on Friday. The rehearsal dinner was so nice, Hardshell Downtown, and my little helpers did a great job helping us set up before!

One of the best parts was having my grandpa there. He had multiple strokes almost two months ago, it really was a miracle that he could be there.
Chloe was the flower girl, she really is a pro now!
The reception was at the John Marshall, it was a beautiful venue. They had the cutest first dance I've ever seen. Leave it to my brother to make up a fun choreographed dance!
Beyond thankful they got to meet!
It was such a fun night, but definitely went by too quick. I'm beyond excited to officially have another sister in law now!
